Excellent picture quality

I purchased this system a little over a year ago and have had no issues.
I installed one of the cameras outside facing the pool area. The picture looks great even when someone is on the other side of the pool, which puts them at almost 50 feet away.
A wider lens option would be beneficial.
At night, with no extra lighting, the visibility is reduced to about half the distance. If anyone is in the pool and the pool light is on, you can still make out the images and determine who's in view.
The second is used to monitor the kids. No complaint here. Even in the dark we can keep close watch on the kids and hear them when they make noise moving around.
The sound quality is good for my application. The microphones have excellent pickup quality but could use some echo cancelling.
I found that the camera antenna does have to face in the direction of the monitor to get the best picture quality.
Overall, it's an excellent product.

Poor distance

I installed two of these, both of the receivers went bad when I touched them and discharged some static electricity. The wireless signal had a very short distance and you cannot pick a different channel in case of completing signals.
Excellent System for the Price

Installed it right out of the box. Easy set up and really decent range. It does get affected by many walls, etc, but it's just a matter of finding the right spot for the cam and the receiver. The recording is great. Has 3 different options for timing so it is really flexible. I bought this system after spending the last 6 months researching it. Day/Night view is very very good. It does actually work also as an intercom if you want to use it like that. And it records well. Worked with different size SD cards and all worked fine. Highly recommended. I will buy 2 additional cameras as the system takes 4.

The Lorex system was recommended by a co-worker. The 7" monitor is already broke after a month of use.
